Ron Paul to end campaign outside Texas convention

A spokesman for Ron Paul says the Republican presidential candidate is ending his campaign. Spokesman Jesse Benton says Paul will make the announcement Thursday night during a speech in Austin, Texas. Paul also will announce that he is beginning a new effort to elect libertarian-leaning Republicans.

I though Paul was going to keep campaigning until the convention.

Me too. There were reports recently that he is going to hold a major rally at the same time as the Republican National Convention. I thought that they essentially reaffirmed that he was going to fight until the end. He definitely has enough money.
