If Huckabee is his running mate, he will probably get the boost he needs with social conservatives. His win of only 73% in Pennsylvania proves that those voters aren't too thrilled with him.

Even when Huckabee was still in the race, he was clearly trying to position himself to be VP. Because of his incredible evangelical support, he probably figures that McCain needs him more than he needs McCain.
